Hi,

I cant understand the calculation error message: The cover does not meet the code requirements: 2.5cm<2.6cm. The cover does not meet the code requirements: 2.5cm<3.0cm

Slab of concrete C30/37. Structure class S4, Environmental class XC1. I set the cover c1 and c2 as 1.5cm which should meet the code req as minimum allowable cover + 1cm is standart deviation.

Have I missed something?

Thanks for help.

Working in the construction industry (sort of) as I do. That 15mm cover sounds very bad. You should set your minimum cover to at least 2.5cm (25mm)

Basing on 4.4.1 EN 1992-1-1 and 4.4.1.2(3) Cmin,b code tables \ paragraphs
it can be found that
for fi 12 - min cover is 25mm
for fi 16 - min cover is 26mm
for fi 30 - min cover is 30mm

Can you paste an exact table with the values from the code? I cant find any concrete cover values which are depending on reinforment diameter. Attaching the pdf from the 1992-1-1 code with chapter 4.4.1. Untill now, we pick the exposure (environmental) class and Structure class and proceeding to table 4,4N where you pick the cmin, dur. In my case its 15mm (XC1, S4).

Thanks. I forgot that fact that Robot uses all possible reinforcment diameters for auto reinforcement if I do not pick necessary diameters. Tried with only 10 and 12mm bars - everything ok wothout any warnings. Topic solved 🙂
