Building Deformation Under Seismic Load Problem

Hello Everyone!
I'm new to this software and still learning it, I have this problem when I want to check my building's displacement, and the result doesnt make sense, and when I check the Diagram, the building displacement just split in half, (a half is on one direction and the other is on the other direction (see image)

mardwicaksono_0-1746904154955.png

It should just deform in one direction because it's only subjected to seismic load in one direction (the image case is in X) and this also happens in direction Y with Seismic load in Y direction. There is no warning or error when running the calculation

I have provided the model file below
Model

Anyone can explain why this happens, what went wrong, and any solution to this?
Thank you!

Hi @mardwicaksono,,

If you are new to the Robot, I would recommend to watch this series:

I am trying to perform some seismic analysis on a 2D frame. The base shear obtained using the Lateral Force method and spectral analysis corresponds to the analysis I did in another software; however, the lateral deflections are extremely excessive and illogical. I would appreciate it if you could take a look. Kindly find my model attached model .

Hi @mardwicaksono

At first glance, it seems to me that there is no problem with your model.
Lateral displacements are not so big and drift ratio is very weak.
Keep in mind that Robot take into account the behavior factor by default, maybe it's not the case with other softwares.

Hi @oluwatobiloba_anjorinZ5MQH

Try to consider the structure self weight .

Thank you very much. You are right. The other software did not take the behaviour factor into consideration.

Thank you for your response. I do not want to consider it just yet.
