Hello,
I've modelled a 400x600mm dp RC Beam(5m long), then modelled it again as a wall(same dimension/span).
I am trying to find out, whether, when it is modelled as wall(RC Beam), I can have the same moment result(typ beam analysis) against "reduced result for panel" when the beam is modelled as a wall.
Looking at the result;
Typ Beam model ; My = 45.93 kN.m
Wall model ; NRx = 97 kN (where is the moment?)
Pls. see attached file and screenshot
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

To compare you have to model equivalent conditions. FE model should have supports on panel center line nodes. On the bottom nodes you generate horizontal reactions as both supports have restricted Ux translation.
Setting blocked Ux supports on the center line nodes or keeping them at the bottom but releasing Ux direction on one of them , you will have similar results on both models. On reduced results table , MRz is the in-plane moment
Of course , precision is improved if you refine the mesh

additionally, you can also have similar results if you need to keep the Ux supports blocked at the beam´s base using offsets or rigid links for the bar model and rigid links on the edge nodes of the FE model.
