Beam integrated in slab. Educational example

Hi to all,

I am new in the forum so, firstly, greetings to all.

Modelling a slab and a beam. In the first model, the beam is a single element between two nodes. In the second model, the same beam is divided in the same points of the slab mesh.

It is shown that, in the first model, the beam does not work together with the slab.

The question is if the division of the beam is always required to obtain the behaviour beam + slab.

Attached the file.

Thank you in advance.

It is working !!! It is just not showing it when display is "On" for section shapes. The "shape" display is not deformable.

Turn the shapes off and move to "diagram for bars" and check the deformation tab . It will show that the beam is deforming together with the slab.
