3D view doesn't work

I have generated a new model in Robot 2017, however I cannot view the model except in 2D plan view.  I have also tried the 2016 version. I am running the software on a surface pro 3, do you have any advice as to how to fix this issue?

For module Building Design, there are 2 windows: one for 2D plan XY and the other is the for 3D view

If the problem is existing, try to go to another template/module from geometry >> structure type

Thanks.  I've not used Robot for a number of years and wasn't aware of this function.
