hello everyone,

I'm trying to model stairs in revit analytic but i cant find a way, so i played throut by modeling it in Robot then update the model in revit to get this result, but is there a direct way to do it thank you

I don't think there is another way, most of the Analytical software represent stairs with inclined slabs "based on my experience"
I think it's sufficient and you can put the weight difference as loads

hello, my question is how to model inclined slabs in analytical mode in revit, i cant do it

to get the stairs model i did model it in robot then updated my model in revit to get this result

i want to cut this work around and model the inclined slabs of stairs directly in revit, by modeling them manually in analytical mode, or model the slabs then covert them to analytical mode, but it seems impossible to do it with the actual version of revit

Hi @WALIDGIO , see the attached video with a simple example.

According to the video, it seems that you need an existing inclined element to set a working plane aligned with it.

However, when working solely in the analytical model and trying to model stairs as inclined slabs, this becomes an issue because you can't define an inclined working plane directly.
What I'm looking for is a way to define an inclined working plane by selecting three points-similar to how it's done in Robot Structural Analysis, and then create my analytical panel on that plane.
Is there any method to do this without relying on an existing inclined element?

Hi @WALIDGIO ,

As you mentioned, in order to create an analytical panel you need first to specify a workplane in Revit, afterwards you specify the sketch. This is the only way to create an analytical panel at the present moment in Revit.
We already received the request to create an analytical panel using 3 point definition, as you mentioned, the user select 3 points inside Revit and the analytical panel is created automatically on the workplane defined by those 3 points. This will enable users to model easily stairs and especially spiral stairs. We received this feedback in the past and is present on our development lists as a feature request.

Thank you for your feedback,
Mihai Sandu
