even changing ALL point restrictions, it still super out of the stair...
i tried, but all the posibilites of initial and end surfaces i could try it always get 5 different types of error
This may be due to too many different non-planar faces so cannot be controlled correctly!
In this instance I would recommend using Free-Form rebar as it’s easier to pick the faces and path
I see, but im afraid i couldn't apply this free form rebar at this just one stair step, i tried following autodesk guide but it appears 5 different errors while trying to create the rebar
its not ideal but a common workaround is to model the Step as an In-Place Family as a Generic Model that can host rebar and then apply the Free-Form to this and then hide it to only show the rebar
The free form rebar can't do the shape as i needed, also i tried doing the same rebar but normal on the generic model i reated of the step
sadly free form rebar dont work well at models that shapes are very different, like stair steps
I am back at a PC not so taken a look, Varying does not like more than one Face/Edge you can split the rebar down into to individual sets - in the example below i create the 3 bars as standard to the Flat Face then Copied them to the side and set these to Varying and dragged the grips to align to other bars and faces
You can also align them to each other and untick the Remove Edge Bar option to avoid double counting where they overlap
You can also use Varying Rebar and Edit constrains for the Edge Reba link to the downstand/riser
making more than 1 rebar its the way to it, worked here! thanks, altought its more complicated when there is a lot of different steps, like on the "fan" type of stair, so a lot of work but thats the way. thanks!
