Truss: Diagonal braces move after adding a connection

Hello everyone!

In Revit 2018 I am currently busy with a steel bridge made of U-profiles.
After I have drawn all my components of my truss (chords, verticals and diagonals), I would like add connections of course.
However, the following happens after I add a connection:
The diagonal braces shift and thus my joint. To be more precise, the diagonals form at the bottom or top of my truss template.
This also creates an asymmetry of my sheet metal connection. However, this eccentricity is undesirable. To understand my problem, before and after pictures and a sketch are attached.
Unfortunately, I have found no solution in previous forums.

Thank you for any help and suggestions!:)

Can you upload your file (or relevant part of it)?

It looks to me the braces have not moved but rotated 90 degrees.

I had a look at your file. I see that you used M_C-Channel.rfa for your braces.

For Steel connections you need families that are suitable for steel connections (see HERE).

This might be a cause for your issues.

For example using a family suitable for steel connections (M_C Shapes.rfa)
