Structural Rebar Editing

I placed some area reinforcement in my concrete slabs, and now I want to change some of the rebar properties. However, when I click on a specific rebar area, I cannot change the shape family because the properties is frozen. How do I go about changing the rebar shape without redrawing the entire rebar?

Are you using any plugins, for example the one from sofistik?

Is it still grayed out in a section view ?

I don't have any plugins installed. The properties of rebar created by area
is still greyed out in a section view.

Hello @Anonymous

Do you have a View Template assigned to that View? If you do it can grey out the settings in the Properties.

Try go to View Properties  (Properties dialog) >> scroll down to Identity Data >> check on the View Template if there is one try set it to None.

If the above works out then you need to apply/modify the template applied to that view or creat a copy and adjust it accordingly if you want to keep the view templated of the initial section view

I do not have a view template assigned to this view, or any other view.

Hi "athong",

the only way to change a rebar shape is to select reinforcement area and then in Properties dialog you see Layers structure for every rebar layer in the area.

You shoul know that in the area reinforcement you can have only straight rebar with hooks...If you want to have different rebar shapes it is better to use Path Reinforcement. Let me know if it helps you.

This could be too late to help you, but am sure will help someone else

In your plan, pick the structural area reinforcement region, Click remove area system under Modify. You can then edit the rebar as you wish
