Headed Reinforcement

Dear all,

I am trying to model a headed rebar in Revit structure. Headed rebar has two different diameters, one is of the rebar and the other is of the head. the thickness of head is less then 1". I tried to model the head separately but the revit says that the minimum length of rebar should be 1". mine is 0.56" for #9 bar. Can any of you help me with this. Please see the image below to get a clear idea.

Unfortunately I do not believe there would be a way to accomplish this without just creating it as generic model content.
