I am creating a new template for my new firm and can't get the footing to show up properly in plan. The exterior line is showing up solid. In my old template everything looks perfect and I have matched all of the object styles as well as cut plans exactly but can't get the same result and don't know what I am missing. I have attached a few snippets for an example. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think that is a valid solution for me because you can't transfer just the foundation object styles you have to transfer them all and I have a lot of object styles that I don't want overwritten. If I am missing something then please let me know. Thanks for the help.

Hello,
Have you also matched line type settings in the view template?
Could you share a snip of your object styles and view template overrides for foundation elements?
Hope this helps.
Your issue may be view range related e.g. if the footing is below the bottom of primary range but still within view depth then the line style used will be governed by what is set for <Beyond> under the Lines category of visibility graphics dialogue i.e. in those special circumstances the styles set for structural foundations categories are not the things to check. It may be old template had Lines subcategory of <beyond> set to dashed.
Generally I think the way it is shown in newer template makes more sense anyway i.e. if it isn't obscured by something over then it isn't hidden.
This was my first thought after reading the OP's problem as well. Check your <Beyond> line style settings, and play around with your view range.
So I have attached both object style settings for both my old template and new template. I modeled a wall with a footing at -2'-0" below F.F. and added a slab. As you can see my footing in the new template shows as solid unless there is a slab over it and my footing in my old shows as hidden no matter what. If you cut a section thru the old template footing it shows a solid line with conc. hatch. There are no overrides or filters set up in my old template and the view range matches exactly in both. I have attached that as well incase it helps. I just don't know what's causing the issue.
Thanks and I appreciate all of your help.

You just solved my problem. It was my <Beyond> linestyle that was set to solid. Once I set it to a dashed line it fixed my footing.
Thanks for your input
