can you post the profile so we can look at it? As for modeling this, I am not sure doing this as a deck is the right way. It might be the easiest though. It all depends on what you are trying to do with this exercise. Based on the photos it looks more like a rebar truss floor system and not really a deck.

How much detail are you trying to put into the model?

Can you share that profile family (zip and attach)?
Using a structural deck profile is mainly to model floor with fluted decking. What you show is maybe better be done using beam systems.

<<Never Mind, I've started repeating my steps and am figuring out the problem>>

Hi ToanDN-

I'm having a similar problem today (trying to show custom fluted decking in section) so I thought I'd send you my profile family to see if my mistake jumps out at you.

When I load this profile family into my project, it shows up in the Project Browser>Families>Profile list, but does not show up in the Structural Deck Properties> Deck Profile drop down list. The structural deck was created using Architecture>Floor:Structural in Revit 2018.3.

This profile was created by "saving as" from the OOB "FormDeck_Non-Composite.rfa" and I've modified a few things that I'm guessing might be causing problems.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I was going to try to delete this post, but can't figure out how.

The reason my profile wasn't showing up in the dropdown was I had added a closed loop within the profile lines.

This was my first attempt at a custom roof deck, and I was trying to make the shape for an EPIC Metals WideckWP fluted system that includes a continuous piece of metal ceiling on the underside of the deck flutes. I was trying to include this in the metal structure profile, but realized that I needed to add it as a second structural deck item within the core boundaries of the structural floor family.

this discussion thread helped me figure it out.

thanks-
