Structural Connection Tag - How to add 'Elevation at Bottom' to the tag?

Hey folks,

Hoping you clever lot can help me out.

I've downloaded a strucutral connection tag. I'm using the tag to tag baseplates.

The tag currently just reads the 'Type Name'.  eg: Baseplate 1

I would like to add to the tag 'Elevation at Bottom', so that its clear to see on plan what elevation the baseplate is at.

Spot elevations don't work as they give data to the top of the baseplate.

If I've not explained this clearly enough please ask any questions you might have.

Cheers for the help in advance.

If there is a Parameters in the Baseplate Family  that can report this then you simply add it to the Tag by using Edit Family and adding in a Label.

If not you would have to create a Shared Parameter to Report this information in the Family so it could be included in the Tag

Spot Elevations pick points so it is probably picking the Top of the Baseplate in plan

@jay_colcombe had a great suggestion, as there are no Labels (parameters) in the Structural Connections tag that can report the elevation., so a Shared Parameter seems like your only option

I found this in Revit 2024 Help

By default, connections have very basic parameters regarding identity data and phasing. Add project parameters and shared parameters to the Structural Connections category to include specific information to be stored and shared with project stakeholders.

As regards your Shared Parameters this should still be a good source of help
