Hi all,
how can I change the common edge lineweight of a filtered wall:
I have a bearing wall which shows with a hatched pattern and a non-bearing wall without a hatch.
But when the non bearer touches the bearing wall it creates a gap. I want it to show up as the right part where I did a disallow join. But I want to prevent to disallow every wall in a project.
If I do the show edge core cleanup this happens:
It shows ALL the common edges, which we don't want and a non-bearer creates a thin line touching a bearer.
I also see a line in the hook where bearers touch
When I change the thickness of the common edge then obviously this happens:
and this looks like crap 😛
Any suggestions?
if you make walls a different material name, it will not clean the joins and will place a thin line where the materials are different.
the outside wall is Concrete, the 2 inside walls are just generic 8" and 6". no lines where the generic walls join, only where the generic meets the concrete.

These are different materials namely: bricks 290x140 with keynote A and bricks 290x140 with keynote B
+ in your screenshot I see the edges not overtaking the same lineweight.
if i understand correct... you want it to look like this?

Yes and I can only achieve that by disallowing the joins, which is too time consuming.
+ non bearing walls should be light lineweight
give this a view.... i don't know your walls are set up, but this is a basic explanation of what i did.

I appreciate your help, but we can't go coarse view, we need to see our steel framing beams.
And doing what you did anyway results in non-bearing walls touching non-bearing walls to gain a bigger lineweight at the common edges because non-bearing walls are thinner.
It should be helpfull if filters in a view template could get an option to acces common edges individually (per filter)
