I am working on a simple structure in Revit.
I worked in Fine Detail view.
Everything works great, only problem is when I switch to Coarse detail view the beams all disappear.
They are still there but not visible in Coarse view
Any ideas?

Hello @Anonymous,
The beams are there in the coarse level of detail but in a simplified way "something called symbolic representation"
you can control what will show in each detail level from inside the family it self.
Edit the family, select the sweep or extrusion forming the beam, then click on visibility settings and tick the mark in front of coarse level.
Kindly check the attachments for more clarification.
let me know if that resolves your problem.

Edit: never mind, looks like we all misunderstood your query
Instead of modifying each and every beam and other members at the family level, I would simply change the view's visibility graphics overrides (VG) to make the structural categories show in Medium or Fine, independently from the view's detail level.

I only want the "stick" version .
I tried the way you proposed but it makes the beam as if it were in Medium Level of Detail.

Are you working with a structural template? Can you share the file?

View Template is set to None,
I'm afraid I can't share the file.
I worked previously on similar project, beams would simply appeared as "stick" in coarse view, I can't find why they are disappearing now.

if the family don't have the stick symbol, you can draw a line inside the family and set it to show at coarse views.
make sure that you lock the line to the left and right reference plans inside the family.

Check the view range and make sure the Range cover the entire beam height.

Is your Discipline set to "Structural"? If it's set to Coordination or Architectural the beams will be hidden by any floor elements.

Attached is an example (2018) with the same behavior. Check your view range.
