Revit printing to PDF issue

We are suddenly experiencing problems with printing to PDF. we tried all Revit versions and all PDF software that we have (acrobat, PDFarchitect and BlueBeam). we never had errors with this software before until last Sunday. now, text and tags are all over the place, and jpg files attached to our title blocks are not printing.

Can you show the problem in a video or other way, maybe we can help you.

HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUES.  Deleting everything from my temp folder <%temp%> worked yesterday, but not today.  Really aggrivating.

So far this issue is plaguing 5 users from my company and counting.  There needs to be a fix for this ASAP.

Not sure if a certain model that we have in Revit 2018 is causing the problem. When we rebooted our computers and  PDF a project, it turned out okay. When we tried this one project, the one we were working on when we first encountered the problem, we had the same problem again. A temporary fix is to identify that one project where you first encountered the problem, close it if you have it open, reboot computer. Don't pdf that project.

We're working in Revit versions 18-21 and the issue has affected all versions for us.  Like I said, 5 people so far in our office.  I'm betting it will start to affect more soon.

yes, it's affecting all versions. Exact same thing is happening to us. So we have that temporary solution until Autodesk fixes it.

I spent probably 6 hours with our IT department on the issue on Friday morning to no avail.  Started using "Microsoft Print to PDF" on 11x17.  That worked for the day on Friday, but then it started to affect THAT on Monday.  Our original order of operation is to print using Bluebeam direct from Revit, but that stopped working along with all other work arounds today.  I can't print diddly squat now.

we also tried Microsoft Print to PDF, which works fine except that it has limited sheet size available in it.

YES!!! So frustrating that they won't allow custom sizes.  I tried following a few tutorials on how to manipulate the unicode text files to add custom sizes, but couldn't get it to work at all.  We print full size 22x34.

What worked temporarily for me yesterday was going to the file explorer and in the address bar type: %temp% > directing you to your local temp folder on the C drive.  Delete all of the files in the folder (naturally it wont let you delete everything if you have some programs open).  Then printing.

But it's a new day, and with it a new set of issues apparently.  Won't work for me again for some reason.

for us, we are okay as long as we don't pdf that one project that we think is the source of the problem.

Hello All,   This article relates to a recent MS KB5000802 that may be the cause of the problems reported on this thread.

PDFs are incorrectly printed after installing March 2021 Microsoft Update in Revit

If a problem still exists after this is removed, Please log an Autodesk support ticket.    Thank you.

I tried uninstalling the latest Windows update last Friday, but perhaps I uninstalled the incorrect one.  Trying it now.

Question:

I only see KB500802 on my machine.  Is KBKB5000808 located elsewhere?

Message 18 of 28

We will try this later. Thank you very much!

I only had the one file on my machine.  Uninstalled it and it works!  Thank you so much.  I must've uninstalled the wrong update file last Friday.

Michael,

We have some users that are unable to find the update in the list of programs.  See image below:

The update is showing in the update history, however not showing in the installed files list.

Do you know about this issue and how to resolve?
