Detail item bolts reset when "Insert from File"

Started at a new company in the beginning of January.  I'm running into an issue where when inserting standard details from the detail item library (Revit project) The lengths of the bolts reset back to the default values.  Various other families do this as well, weld symbol and breaklines, but the steel objects remain and about 90% of the detail items.

There's no shared parameters involved, for the most part, the families are OOTB Revit with custom line styles applied.

In the screenshot below, the original detail is on the right, a new project, with the detail "Insert from File".

Both the source and 'project1' files have had the same 'bolt' family inserted from the server to verify they're looking at the same definitions of parts.

(This one has the whole sheet brought in, but even by just the detail it does the same thing.)

I don't have an answer for you, but I would like to understand what is happening there too.

Anyone have any ideas?

The fix so far has been to right click delete the bolt out of the system browser in both files, and redraw the bolt in all of the details.

Turns out, the family in all of our template details had a typical shared parameter, but the one in our working templates had a shared parameter with a different GUID, so it would auto create ~1. Replacing the local family in the working templates fixed this issue.
