Revit Crashes on closing project

Hi,

A number of us in the office are now encountering Revit 2017 crash every time a project is closed.

"Autodesk Revit has stopped working"

not specific to a particular project or build (2017.2 and 2017.2.1)

happens both on PC and bootcamp.

if any one knows a fix that would be great.

thanks,

Pete

This mutant add-in is still getting people two years, Revit versions, later. Will it ever be addressed?

With Revit 2020 on the horizon what is the betting?  Mutant is the correct terminology, a rubbish add in even when you can use it.

Great! It really worked for me in Revit 2019 too. Thanks a lot.

Sorry, but i'am only write in spanish.

Una solución que he encontrado es desinstalar Site Designer Add-In, con eso se soluciona el problema de "Crash" cuándo cierra un proyecto.

Leads me to wonder why the Revit team allow this official add-in to be issued when it causes known problems. It's not like it is a third party thing

I had the same problem. It was solved with removing the addins. Thanks.

You can just disable the app by finding it in "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\"  and move it out of the folder.

Then if you need it temporary move it back in. Not Ideal, hope this is fix in the 2021 version.

I had the same problem. But it is now solved by just moving the addins to a temporary folder.

Hope, this might work for you a well.

Once again I have had the problem start again yesterday but it continued after updating to 2020.2.1 so I have moved my 'Addins' folder and it now works.  Autodesk have had 2 years to resolve this issue!

I started having the problem this past week, and after going through my addins the culprit was Site Designer.

Just noticed this myself this morning, after many months of care free revit project close downs... Didn't noticed any Revit updates to reinstate the Site Designer.
