I've tryed in a second PC but the problema is the same. I can't edit the connections!!
Hi,
no problem from my side:
did you tried to re-install Revit ?
I've reinstalled in both computers and have the same issue. I can't see the connection parameters.
I noted if I select my columns (made by myself), the connection is not able to be modified its parameters…. in the previous release that Works well.
my problema is with tuve ent to end connection. I've tried even with section from the Revit library
Hello,
no problem again (tube end to end connection)
do you have any warning at the creation of the connection ?
did you tried others connections ? what language do you use ? have you tried to send a bug report to your reseller ?
I don't have any warning. if I override the connecton, is posible to change it. then copy to all the connections...
Hi,
can you send me your model ?
If you haven't figured this out yet, we would also be interested in looking into it, so please also send me the model where this behaviour occurs.

model attached. thank you
hum,
weird, same issue when editing your connection.
but, created others column, same size except, no special character like [] you put on your type name.
when i use copy identical function from your connection to my 2 new column, same bug, no possibility to edit.
see below;
when i created from scratch an identical connection with entries my 2 columns (without special character) in can replicate.
after that i can edit parameters.
i think problem can come from the fact your column uses a special character in their name.
but has to be confirmed with DevTeam.
i attach the model modified with new columns & new connections. no things added except 2columns beside the tower.
I've submitted this behaviour to the Dev team and they will investigate why this is occurring.
Could you maybe provide some additional information on how this column family (TUBULAR ICHA COLUMN) was created? Was it started from scratch or was it created starting from an existing standard family? If it's the second, could you point out what settings/options you applied to the family?
In the mean time, as another workaround that may be helpful:
If you delete all the Tube end to end connections from the model, then create a Tube end to end connection on 2 tube columns using a standard family (not the one mentioned above) and then go and create the connection on that family afterwards, you should be able to access the connection parameters from Edit Type.
This is because the Preview (the connection image on the left in the Edit Type window) is the one that allows the parameters to be populated in there and when the first connection instance is created, it will point to that one.
Hope this helps.
We will come back with an update here once the current behaviour is figured out.

The connection is not created because of the special characters [] present in the type name of the column. As workaround open the family and rename the Type name from the Family Types dialog to remove the [] characters : 15x10x18.2. The load the family into the project, go to the model, select the columns and change the type to the new renamed one without [].

This confirm my first impression;
thank you @bogdan_vacut, it will be useful for our team if we want to create custom families.
thank you for your answer... I have to change all the names of our hss chilean shape...
Hi,
Can you explain how did you manage to put "[]" characters to the type name because I am not allowed to do this from Revit - Family Types dialog - Rename Type or New Type?
Thanks!
