Multi-Rebar Annotation Slow in Assembly View

Hi!

Im trying to use Multi-Rebar Annotation on a shop drawing (assembly view) for a long column. The command functions OK for shorter distributions, but when I try to annotate the main rebar with 78 pieces, it slows to the point of making Revit unusable. Just inserting the annotation takes 4-5 minutes and any change related to the annotation, like changing tag type will take a very long time.

If I try to annotate in a view that is not in an assembly, this does not happen.

Is anybody else having this issue? Are there any other ways for me to annotate the rebar on my assembly view?

Hey Niklas,

I tried to put a MRA in your project and it took about 20sec. There is no difference if the reinforcement is inside an assembly or not. There is a faster way to tag the stirrups and all other bars using SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing 2015. Using the command Tag All it takes about 10sec to tag the 78 stirrups with a MRA - and it looks perfect with no need to manipulate it. You can download a free trial and try it out. Does that solve your issue?

Hi Björn,

Thanks for your reply. If the MRA works at your end, it must be something with my hardware config. Will have to try on a different computer.

Im aware of SOFiSTiK, and it does indeed insert tags quickly, but these seem to be separate linear dimensions and tags, not MRA (due to performance issues, one wonders?)

Hey Niklas,

With this Plug-In you can create Multi-Rebar Annotations or Structural Rebar Tags automatically depending on your settings and used commands.

Perhaps I have been confused by the nomenclature, but my issue is with the Linear Multi-Rebar Annotation tool, not Multi-Rebar Annotation objects.
