Modeling while in 3d View

Hi I'm new to Autodesk Revit, I am learning thru available video tutorials.

I have this question on how can I model object such as columns, beams or even walls while I'm in 3d View in Revit.

Why do you need it?
It would be more accurate to do it in plans and views(section, elevation).

Hi!

Is more efficient draw columns in floor plans at grids intersections, the beams if you have different elevations in starts ends could be good idea draw them in 3d with 3d snaping option

and walls using the location line but defitnely is better draw walls in floor plans

yes you can model in 3D view but the issue your modeled objects will not be in the exact locations? the good practice is using your plan view to model and can be easily drag to the correct in the different positions of your objects/families. thanks

you can model in 3D view, sometimes it is way easier, depending on a project. Just make sure you set your workplane to what you need it to be - level or plane (surface)
