joist span tag for beam system

is anyone availble to help me to make a beam system tag or beam tag which can show the span (length wise) of joists (not extent which is stored in anootation beam system tag in revit structure.

 

please find attached a pdf to describe my idea.

I don't see a way to do this without having some manual input involved.

You can't add the cut length parameter to the Beam System tag and you can't add the spacing to the Structural Framing tag (and have it automatically fill in the information.

 

I modified the OOTB Structural Framing tag and added a shared parameter for the spacing which needs to be manually entered and it looks like this....

sorry, i am still using revit 2016.

 

is it possible that you save it in 2016?

 

but if not, that is ok.

The attached tag was built in Revit 2015 so it will upgrade....use the shared parameter list from above to do the following in your project.

I like your tag, but is it possible to make the arrows to extend to the ends of the beam / or joist?

 

when I insert your tag on my dwg, the arrows does not move or the whole symbol does not stretch.

if  you use revit 2017 it will help you in this issue , that you can link family parameter with project parameter which is in your case cut length parameter
