Imported dwg in family with layers turned off in project stays visible when cutted in section and section box

I have a Generic Model family with a dwg imported in it. I manipulate this family in the project through the dwg-layers. Now when cutting the family with a section (2D) or the section box (3D), with one (or all) layer turned off in Imported Categories, the turned off layer stays visible. I am curious why this happens but can't figure it out.

Hi,

What do you mean by manipulated it you mean you changed the model based off the DWG or something else ?

Thx for your response  mphungDCHNW.

With manipulate I mean that in the Revit project with Visibility/Graphic Overrides > Imported Categories > Imports in Families I can put layers on or off to show or hide certain objects from the family in a view. When I make an elevation and don't cut anything from the family that works perfectly. But when I make a section (or a 3D section with the section box) and I cut the family the turned off layers (or objects) stay visible as can be seen in the images I attached.

I see try changing the mode for instance "fine" "course" "medium" in your section views and you should be able to see the objects when changing it. Also if you have changed certain objects to be associated with certain layers it would make sense since you don't see them because they are turned off.

you can also control how you want to view it in these modes.
