Import problem: Robot to revit

Not applicable

I'm trying to import my calculation model from robot structural analysis professional 2018 to revit 2018, but I keep getting an error. The error message prompts me to enter a value, but there isn't a place to insert it. I have attached a screenshot of the problem. If I click expand and delete the two problems that can't be ignored then nothing is imported to revit. I have tried all of the options in robots export field.

Hi @Anonymous

Try these steps:

1. Open RSA model

2. Navigate to the bar table and switch to the Edit tab

3. Change gamma angle for bars 9088 and 230 from 449.9 deg to 89.9 deg (449.9 - 360)

4. Export the model to Revit

If I managed to answer your question(s) press the Accept as Solution button please. This will help other users to find solution(s) much faster. Thank you.

Hello Artur,

The solution worked, and now I know another thing to keep an eye on for future conversions. Thanks a lot!

I'm a student working on a project and I'm still a beginner and my robot project will not  integrate with revit it always displays a run time error. please help me out . I even tried reinstalling revit it still did not work. I use 2019 version of both Robot and Revit.

The integration works fine when i  use prismatic sections by using the frame generator. I don't know what is wrong in my modelling please help me out

Hi,

I have similar problem but all my bars have degrees of following values: -270, 0, 3.8, 73.2, 90. None go over the allowed number of degrees. I tried integrating robot and revit both by sending it straight to revit and by creating separate .smxx file. Both methods failed. Do you have any idea what might be causing my problem. I am stuck

I got the same "Unknown run-time error" when trying to import Robot back into Revit, and I found it was caused by empty load combinations. I had to either populate or delete the empty load combinations to import back into Revit successfully.
