Can someone point me to a tutorial or a class to learn how to create custom, more sophisticated, detail components? By more sophisticated I mean ones that are easily adjustable and have visibility options and constraints and parameters that can be changed in the drafting view in a project.
So, as a simple example, the OOTB 'C Studs-Side' detail component can be inserted in the drafting view, then the length can be easily adjusted using the little dots on the ends, you just drag it. But how do I get those dots to change the length in a custom detail component that I create from scratch?
Or another example, I downloaded a pipe break component from Revit City and you can drag one side using the double triangles, and the opposite side moves along with it so they're constrained somehow but I don't know how to create that from scratch. There are more advanced components too that I'd love to learn how to create, I just need help finding where to learn. I am using Revit Structure 2019 and 2020. Thanks!
