Host element moves when copying rebar

Hi all,

Have some rebar hosted in an element, however, when I try to copy it, the host element (which is pinned) moves. Moving rebar works, mirroring rebar works. Screencast

Has anyone experienced this before and if so, how was it resolved?

Thanks,

Brent

Hi @BrentBurgess1980

Can you please share the model showing this issue?

You can share it privately just with me, if you can post it here.

Thanks,

Ovidiu

I have attached the 2021 RVT file to this message. The issue is with assembly 2LB-2A. When coping the rebar through the piece, the piece copies. Then when i try the move command, it copies the rebar one time.

I think this is indeed a bug, the rebar moves the host when copied if the host is a nested shared family.

In your case, Steven, the girder family is poorly designed, in my opinion, and I would replace it with another one, without nested families and text from the model lines. Then the found bug will not interfere.
