I'm trying to create on overall plan for of a bunch of towers and podiums levels. I want to see all roofs and don't want any of the structure below to be visible. Ideally want I want is exactly like a 3D view from the top down but in a plan view i can throw onto a sheet. Anybody know if this is possible at all? Any help much appreciated

Have you try View range.  See if this works Bottom 0'-0" and the View Depth 0'-0" Another thing you can try is Plan Region

Hi @dschaepman2XPAQ

One way you can do this is with Plan Regions. This allows you to select areas within the view and define a cut plan at  different heights used within the current plan view.

Current yourself a new view or duplicate the view at the level you wish to show them. The add the Plan Regions, here is a link to the help file how to do it. Then just control what you do not wish to show using your visibility graphics.

I have just put together a quick screencast of how it is done. You can check it out here: Revit - Plan Regions

I hope this helps.

Thanks for all the help. I figured out all i needed to do was change the discipline from structural to architectural. Thanks again!
