Free-form reinforcement- cannot change shape code SANS reinforcement shapes

Hi all,

I am a structural engineer working in South Africa, using standard SANS shape codes. I am trying to implement reinforcement detailing in my office, but I have one key hurdle. 

In the generation of free-form reinforcement in say a circular wall, I use the aligned distribution type feature to get a standard shape code 38 bar (refer to figure below). I cannot edit any of the reinforcement parameters when this is done nor can I change the shape code from a SC 20 (straight bar) to a SC 38. Is there anyway to work around this? Is this just a South African shape code issue? 

Without a fix for this, we need to stay on 3rd party products linked to AutoCAD to detail, which I would prefer to move away from.

Hi @dsurat 

You can select the set, go to the properties palette and change Workshop Instructions to Bend. This will allow the system to match the geometry of free form rebar to rebar shapes that you have loaded into your project. If matching shapes don't exist, they are created.

Different bars in the same set can have different shapes for free form rebar, but if at least one bar can't be matched to shapes, no bars are matched.
