floor tag

Hi all,

I would like to make a new floor tag wich I can use on my foundation plans when I use a single plate for foundation.

I duplicated a floor tag and changed it so it shows the top elevation and the tickness from the plate, these values are shown in a circle.

But now I would like to add 4 lines starting from the center of the circle(tag) to the corners of the plate to somehow represent the area of the plate kinda like a span direction but with diagonal lines in this case.

In the attachment you can see an example of the tag I would like to have too.

Hello @andy.van.slambrouck,

What you are trying to achieve would be done with a span direction family. Those are available as standard families with metric/imperial revit library.

Go to Annotate Tab -> Symbol Panel -> Span Direction button.

If needed load the family from your metric/imperial library location.

This symbol can be placed and even rotated the way you want to.

Hope this helps you out.

To make it easy I have attached the symbol.

Hello N. Oomen,

Thx for your advice, I tried it before already with this span direction family and tried to edit it. But didn't knew you could rotated it too 🙂

If I can change the family without the arrows I could use it for what I wan't.

Think it will work now.
