Embedded beams

Hi everybody,

Sometimes I have beams that are embedded in walls. I would like that those beams were represented with a fill pattern. The problem is that due to the fact that the beams are behind the walls we cannot see it. I figured out four possible solutions.

  • Fill patterns regions: Current “sloppy” solution.

  • Plan region: Unmanageable.

  • Structural framing with an invisible vertical model line and a nested fill pattern. The problem is the beam fill pattern masks the wall pattern.

  • Wall transparency. In some cases, wall fill patterns disappear but I don’t know why.

Any other ideas?

Thank you in advance.

How about a Structural Framing Plan, with an Underlay showing the walls?
