Duplicating a varying rebar set (R2024)

Hi,

I want to duplicate a varying rebar set (as in a triple pilecap) but all subsequent copies change the rebar number of the bars. ie. bar marks 01a, 01b, 01c etc become 02a,02b, 02c etc. in the next pilecap, even though the bars are the same.
The 'pilecap' marks and partition are all the same.
All other elements with none varying bars duplicate ok.
Is there any way to solve this please?

At present Varying rebar sets get a different number if numbering is set to "Number bars as a whole", in which case each bar in the set also gets a suffix.

If you "Number bars individually" each bar in the varying set is compared to all other bars in the project (of the same partition) and gets its number accordingly but no suffix!

You can "trick" this by setting them in another partition and give them the number you want.

Here is a link to the Revit Ideas Forum and hopefully it can be added as a new feature in Future Updates whereby the option to have the Same Number for IDENTICAL Varying Rebar especially handy when utilising Propagate Tools
