Double Angle to Horizontal and Vertical Beam Connection Error

I am currently trying to add a connection to a diagonal double angle member in Revit and keep having an error message pop up saying this is not possible.  I have tried using a single angle member from both the AISC 14.1 and generic steel framing folder and have no issue with generating a connection for the single angle.  However, when we try and use double angles this error message pops up.  Anyone have any ideas for a work around or solution?

Double angle family is not supported by the steel connections.

It`s a link from 2019 Help, but, this part fits also for 2018.

Our work involves the use of trusses which need the double angle families. We really need the connections to utilise double angles for them to be viable for trusses.

Is Autodesk ever going to address fix this??? It still doesn't allow double angle brace connections in Revit 2022. It's not like a pair of angles to a gusset plate is some obscure connection that nobody uses (unlike several of the steel connections Autodesk did invest time in...). This is quite common, both for trusses, such as was mentioned in 2018, and for kicker braces and braced frames in buildings, and especially industrial structures.

Still nothing in 2023,

When the important connections that need Gussets for coordination cant be created its a real big problem.

Double angle braces are the bread and butter of ALL the bracing we do. We build BILLION dollar facilities and revit software cant handle this simple connection.

@catalin_lang with a "Safe Harbor Statement" is this even on the radar? These are standard AISC shapes.AISC.jpg
