Delete Legends not placed on sheets

Hello,

Does anyone know of a way to delete unused legends from their model? I've tried purging but this doesn't appear to include legends.

Thanks.

Edit: Im looking for a way to know what legends are unused/not on sheets so I can delete them without having to manually go through each sheet.

You can just select them in the Project Browser, Right click and Delete them.

you can also try using eTransmit

  • in the Upgrade and Cleanup section...
    • select Include all sheets and
    • only include views on sheets

Yes, but im looking to delete only the ones that are unused. There doesnt appear to be a way to see what legends arent on a sheet so I dont delete one that is needed. Changing the browser organisation to show views "not on sheet" doesnt cover legends, so im at a loss on how to identify these easily without manually going through every sheet.

i assume you're not using 2023 or newer? in 2023 Revit added a box in front of the view that displays if it is being used on a sheet.

  • Blue is used on a sheet
  • White is not used on a sheet.

We're in the same boat.... most of our projects are still in 2020 due to client requirements. but we a handful in the newer versions too.
