Custom Rebar Shapes - Length names

Hello,

I am modelling rebar in a custom shaped wall.

For this shape I need a custom rebar shape. When I sketch this shape it works fine, but the names of the length parameters are not how I want it to be. Normally they are named alphabetically which is desired, but in this case I get the following result (A; B; E; Length 2):

What is happening here? I can see in the properties that other non-visible lengths are at play. Can I change the order of this manually? I need this to get a proper bending detail schedule.

Thank you for looking in to it in advance!

Are you using an Addin or user defined Rebar Families?

On Revit 2025 my Properties for a similar shape are as below for a bar drawing in a section (planar) and ordered very differently and grouped in different Group Headings?

You can also review the Bending Detail for more clarity on the dimensional references in the Properties Palette

hi, i don't know which version you are but i made a rebar by sketch, first i put a single one

rafaelmarinGFHRP_1-1730290539075.png

them i double click and fill the lines

rafaelmarinGFHRP_2-1730290585250.png

if u click on the rebar and go on bendin detail it should be ok without lenght 1 or 2

also u can change it by just clicking on the rebar and changing it number

Hello Jay, thank you for your fast reply. I believe I use a family that my company made, and that family glitches sometimes when I change the sketch of the rebar shape into a shape that doesn't exist already. When I want to edit the family, Revit crashes, so I can't change the Labels.

I resorted to editing a Rebar Shape family to exactly the profile that I want to use, and now I have a functioning shape with A, B, C and D as length labels.

Bit of a workaround I'm not totally happy with, but it works!
