See if the here if this helps you.
Just wanted to know you in AutoCAD we do use colors for lines where as in Revit you will see all have single black color lines, they can be differentiated by line thickness.
We have blank format (empty model space & empty paper space) CAD file which has so many project standard layers (screen shot attached) with project standard ‘line color’, ‘line type’ & ‘line weight’. What is the procedure to import those layers into ‘Revit structure 2014’ permanently which is used as a project standard layer template of ‘line color’, ‘line type’ & ‘line weight’ for all discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)?
Also please suggest that what is the Layer mapping file & it’s used?
Kindly see the article on this here, follow that. You need to map as per the Revit Standards. Below screencast on how to import the text file of standard layers.
Text file you import should be standard format like Revit.
Attachment of that article (exportlayers-dwg-AIA) is empty (screen shot attached). Can u please provide txt file of layer mapping 'exportlayers-dwg-AIA'. So I can process next step which have mentioned in article.
Hi, can you provide me the 'exportlayers-dwg-AIA.txt' file?
