Cant add stiffeners

Hello. I'm trying to add stiffeners to my beams but I'm having trouble in doing so. First, I receive the warning that the stiffeners are not visible in 3D view (first image), but that's not the case, since I checked the visibily of them . Second, I also receive the error that "the shape of the connected element is unknown" (second image). The beam family is one that I created using the default steel beam in revit, so I could have different widths for the top and bottom flanges.

Thanks

Hi @diego.veloso.98

So if you are using Stiffeners from the Steel tab then you need to be in Level of detail fine to see them, course or medium wont show them.

The steel connections including stiffeners will only work when your familes have the correct shape defined as shown in this link - https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2023/ENU/?guid=GUID-6244E741-5D14-4DAD-AE25-5069F71B69F3

Hey Rob, thanks for the help. Looks like I was missing a couple of steps, like the material and the shape, which I set as parallel I. But I'm still having trouble, but now with a new error, "StructuralSection parameters incomplete". What is those parameters that my family is supposed to have? Maybe something related to the name I gave my parameters? Thanks !

hI @diego.veloso.98

So in the following links it talks about the shape definistion, then the dimension and detailing dimension parameters. Your family must have these and they must be actactly as they are shown in the links
