Can you remove all constraints that affect reinforcement sizes

I want to create bars that do not change size no matter where they are placed. At the moment it seems constraints are changing bars to be in some cases mm smaller or bigger and creating a whole new bar mark for them. Not ideal. I want the bar I create to remain the same.

Reinforcements are parametric, even if restrictions are removed, these reinforcements will continue to be modified when the host is modified.
You could work with the sketch outside the host to see if it can maintain its dimensions.

Hello @Anonymous

What are some examples where you had bars unexpectedly change?

It looks like you are referring to small changes, due to snapping of bars to the concrete cover.

In Revit 2020 we have made some big improvements to how bars behave when copying or moving, so that they are not adjusted, and also how longitudinal bars react with respect to stirrups.

More info here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T94b0AJJZLc

Currently the only way to make a bar completely non-responsive is to add it to a group.

I'm Downloading 2020 now. Good idea on the grouping. Thanks a lot.
