Visibility of floor boxes on the floor

I have placed floor boxes on one of my floors by face in an MEP template

here is a section below:

When I go to look at the floor plan view, it does not display these, as they are in line and below the floor

I cant raise them up as it will not allow me: see greyed out properties below:

How can I see these boxes on the floors that I placed them on

Change the view range bottom or view depth.

Yes I can see them now if I just ofset them a small bit below the associated level. Thanks

But what if when I link the MEP model back into the architecture model I want to see them on the floor.. Do i have to do the same in the architectural model

And is this not bad practice? Is there another thing stopping this visibility?

Thanks

Yes.  Or set the link display to by Linked View or Custom and change the View Range for the link only, without changing to for the architectural model.

No, view range settings are there to change so it is not a bad practice.  Another way to show element at the Level without changing the view bottom/depth is adding a vertical invisible model line in the family so that the view range can capture it.

Thanks

if you pick Edit Type, is there maybe a parameter to change the offset? just taking a guess... otherwise what @ToanDN suggests is the way to go

Hello,

Usually, I model the junction box cover to be 1mm above the floor level so that it can be seen easily.

Hi again guys

This technique of drawing detail lines and just 1mm above the floor box works in the MEP model but when I link it into the architecture model it doesn't work for me at all, which means I have to change the view depth range to -10mm, when I would prefer to just leave it at 0.

Do i need to make some changes in the visibility of the link or something?

Thanks

Hello,

I don´t used model lines. I create a solid to represent the top of the boxes that is 1mm higher than the floor level, so it will show to anyone that link my model.
