View range

Its a simple question I want to know " is view range is applicable when view template is put to none option"
Because when I draw a duct(BOD 2750mm) it was displayed but in my view range dialogue box cut plane is at 1200mm which is set below the elevation of duct which I have drawn.

Yes, view range in the view is applicable when view template is set to none.

Also discipline has an effect on visibility of your duct. For example when the Discipline is set to Mechanical then duct and pipe categories appear in plan as long as they are within the Primary Range (top/bottom) of the view range setting.
