I am an architect, but I'm posting this to the MEP forum because I think it's more appropriate here. I was modelling ducts in for a project. This isn't something we typically do but the ducts are exposed and it's an existing timber framed building, so catching clashes and controlling duct placement on the architectural drawings is important.
While I was dragging the end of one duct, it "snapped" hundreds of feet away, to some random point way outside the building. There was a random line that appeared. I deleted the errant duct, but the line persisted. No matter how much I tab, I can't select this linework.
The line appears as a line no matter the coarseness of the view, so I don't think it's a symbolic line. It's definitely something related to a "duct" because when I turn off "Ducts" in the view settings, the line does disappear.
Before anyone answers "turn off ducts" in view settings, we have in most cases - however, we need to show ductwork on RCP's, but we definitely do not want this line showing up (which it does, of course).
Please help 🙂
