Unchecked when cut in the plan/RCP

Hi,

i want to unchecked "when cut in the plan/RCP" in visibility setting. when i load the rfa(contain the clearance  ) file in rvt that clearance is visible but when i m not able to select.

when i do edit family and change the property(length) and again loaded in project, it didn't affected.

Please do the reply as soon as possible.

Hello @Anonymous,

Your family works just fine. Smiley Very Happy

but reading your post you wrote that you open the family, edit the length, reload the family and nothing happens.

The reason for that is that you used INSTANCE parameters and not TYPE parameters.

instance parameters.png

Instance parameters can be edited for every instance that you place in your model.

instance 1 en 2.png

When you open the family, edit the instance parameter (length) and reload it into your project, It won't affect the instance parameters of the already placed objects.

I hope this clears how instance parameters in Revit families work for your family.

change the Length parameter to a Type parameter and see what happens when you load it into your project.

Then you begin to understand how this works.

Hello,

This option is available depending on the family category.

Hello @Anonymous,

As @fabiosato mentioned, it depends on the category of the family you created.

You are selecting a family so the box doesn't apply. You need to select native geometry/ linework in the family.
