Dear community friends;
Dear friends of the community, finally I found a very simple solution to solve the error "EnergyPlus simulation did not generate a report for systems analysis" and I want to share it with us.
Simply put, it is an update to the OpenStudio that Revit uses to process all Energy Analyses 🤔

The solution they came up with is to use another computer? What a joke.

The method outlined in the post above yours by @mromagnoli works.
Also see here.
I believe it is also fixed in version 2023 although I haven't tested it.

Unfortunately, the solution above does not work for me and the other threads clearly state is is a motherboard chipset that causes the issue.
I also, have not tried it on 2023 yet.

As you will see from the post I was the one who brought this to Autodesk's attention, eventually resulting in the "help" that they produced.
I have one of the affected motherboards/chips.
I have however tried the solution involving updating the OpenStudio version and it worked fine without any changes to the laptop configuration so I don't understand why the workaround didn't work for you.
I followed the method in the youtube video in one of the links involving downloading the updated OpenStudio and then overwriting certain files, including the bin folder, in the Program Files > NREL folder > OpenStudio CLI for Revitxxxx

I used OpenStudio version 3.4.0 for the workaround.

That may be the problem. They have 3.5.1 up now. I used that for the work around. I couldn't find 3.4. I'll have another look and see if I can find 3.4 on the Open Studio site.

Which version of Revit are you using?
In one of the posts that I linked I think there is an inference that the updated OpenStudio version might depend on the version of Revit and it might be a bit of trial and error to get the correct solution.
The youtube video which I followed was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QN2TdNQDyk which was originally posted by @michael.sturmXKWTM.
Make sure that you are following all of the steps and overwriting all of the required files/folders.

Hi!
Yes, so far this solution has worked for me on Revit V21 up to V23. I had the issue on 2 Lenovo PCs, but not on my Dell PC. It is too small of a sample to draw any real conclusions, but it might suggest the issue of the chipset.
I would encourage anybody to comment in case the overwriting of the OpenStudio files does NOT work for them.
FYI, OpenStudio has released the latest version 3.5.1 on December 30th 2022.
Kind regards,
Michael Sturm

I've tried the method both on Revit 2022 and 2023. Using OpenStudio 3.5.1. Still no success.
I'm using a Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio. The chipset is i7-11370H (Tiger Lake).

If you have time and energy to do it, could you try doing the same with an earlier version of OpenStudio? Let's say 3.2? As an experiment.
I believe OpenStudio changed something in their packages at some point (don't know exactly which version).
It is unfortunate that this has been an ongoing issue for some users.
Kind regards,
Michael
