Show cut section of piping families

Good afternoon, when I have a Piping family and I cut through it, it shows the family still in total. is there a setting to show the family that it is cut. If you cut a pipe, it shows only the part that is not cut.

In the image I have remove the lines in the one fitting in the red box to show that I mean, the section is taken on the centerline of the pipes and fittings.

2 things....

  • what is the family categorized as?
    • if its Mechanical Equipment, in 2022 and older, it wont show a Cut section of it, only the whole element. i believe they added that functionality in 2023.
  • How was the family made?
    • was it made to show the inside, or was it just a solid extrusion?

Good morning @hmunsell

Thanks for the reply,

1. It is made as a Pipe Fitting, Bends, Tees, etc.

2. Some have inside, some have solid and extrusion or sweep,

3. It was created between 2014 and 2022, only upgraded to a new version each year.

Regards

Jan
