Imported Coordination Model (NWD) disapears after saving.

I'm currently working on a project in Revit 2020.2.4.  This just started a few days ago.  Whenever I save my Revit file , the imported NWD's disappear from the project.  The only way to get them to reappear is to close the file and open it again.  I'm not positive, but I think the problem began after one of the updates from the desktop app.

Can you test if same happens when linking a nwc file? (worked for me)

Not only did the .nwc stay after saving, it made the .nwd files stay as well.  No idea why it happened, but thank you.

I have the same problem after updating to 2020.2.4. i have been working with the same coordination model for a couple months with no issues until the update. Only my models do not re appear after re-opening the drawing. The NWC Files also disappear for me.

I'm also still having the same issue.  It worked for a day or two with the .nwc, but now I'm back to using the same fix, closing the project and opening it up again. Funny how this wasn't an issue for the last 6 months of working on this project.

Yeah, My files worked fine until the 2020.2.4 update.

Just want to narrow down possibilities.

My RVT file is a BIM360 documents cloud model how about yours?

Coordination model is a local file because it has to be. Ask Autodesk why, I don't get it.

My File is workshared, is yours?

All of my files are local, and not workshared.  All links and nwds are downloaded to my computer.  I'm an electrical sub, and the only one working on the project.  All different subs upload their nwc's by floor to a share file, then they're combined into a single nwd for clash detection/coordination.  I then download and combine all the different .nwc's for each trade and floor into a single .nwd file for my use in Revit.  One for plumbing, one for mechanical, one for fire protection, etc.  It all was working fine until a couple of weeks ago

Yeah, I'm in the same boat, except I'm a Fire Sprinkler sub.

File is a cloud model because we are keeping live models with the architect as they design the TI of the core and shell we are designing.

I have an issue open with autodesk support. It looks like it may have been something with the 2020.2.3 release checking the release notes. but I skipped that hotfix and went from 2020.2.2->2020.2.4.

They just had me try the 2020.2.5 hotfix that came out today, but no luck. I think they are going to have me uninstall and then install back to 2020.2.2... I'll keep you updated.

NWCs, NWDs, doesn't matter. As soon as I save, if they're loaded in, they disappear.

I worked with Autodesk, we found the culprit.

go to your C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2020 folder, and remove the BIM360 Revit Issues add in file and folder.

This Add-in in combination with having dependent views with coordination model overrides is what was causing the problems for me. Well that and the 2020.2.3 update.

It could be a different Add in for you. Try removing all the files and folders and moving them back one at a time, relaunching Revit between .

I had 2 folders in the Autodesk.Bim360.Revit.Issues.Addin Folder.

I removed/cut those folders and saved to a temp folder. Opened Revit and was prompted with errors since the files in the folder were missing. I closed Revit, and added back in 1 of the 2 folders that I removed from the Addin Folder. Opened Revit and was prompted with a different error relating to the missing folder/files.
I closed Revit again and added the 2nd folder that I removed previously. Opened Revit again with no errors, but when I save, my coordination models disappear again. I decided to run the Update to 2.5 but I still have the same issue.
"Try removing all the files and folders and moving them back one at a time, relaunching Revit between . "
Could you please explain this step a little further? I would greatly appreciate the help.
Thanks

If you uninstall the extension via the Windows Uninstaller, you will not get the error anymore.

There is a file with the same name as the folder, move that as well. Make sure you have hidden files visible in windows.

I uninstalled the Autodesk Issue Addin for Revit 2020 and looks like that worked. Coordination models do not disappear when saving.

Thanks for the help!

Make sure everything is fully updated including the desktop connector, if you are using it.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Not sure if it's your issue but NWD's don't seem to like the realistic visual style.
