Revit MEP distribution systems

I am having trouble adding a distribution system to my Revit model. I understand how to edit voltage definitions and distribution systems from the Manage/MEP Settings/Electircal Settings dialogue. However, when I try to assign an appliance and lighting panel to a distribution system, the drop down menu under Modify/Electrical Equiptment menu says <none>.

How do I add a distribution system to my model?

It sounds like the panelboard's Electrical Connector does not have the correct electrical parameter values (i.e. Voltage) to fit the requirements of any Distribution System in the Project. Open the family for editing and select the Electrical Connector to check the parameter values. Is this an  panelboard?

I've tried editing the panelboard family type, but it still doesn't work. What are some typical voltage/amp settings for an MCB panelboard?

You would also have to ensure that Number of Poles is correct. Try setting it to Voltage = 208V and Number of Poles = 3. Then, this will connect into a 120/208V-3Ø Distribution System.
