Hi there -- I'm struggling to figure out how to show structural material (concrete, steel, etc.) in sections to make them more legible. The template doesn't seem helpful because the graphic overrides would vary per material. I tried changing the discipline of the view, but that disrupts the integrity of the mechanical (in this case) hidden lines. I tried to setup a filter to have the material show, but something's off. Any thoughts? TIA!
please provide section example you want to do like it
also if you could provide the file

Hi Ahmed -- unfortunately, I'm unable to share, as it's a confidential project. The primary aim is to have the structural material show correctly in section, whereas now, it currently shows as only linework without patterns.
try coordination discipline, or just draw a fill on top of what you need to show.
did you checked the visibility/graphic options of the link on the view
could you provide a screen shot for the needed view and what you have now

for the detail level of the link, you can set the view to By Linked View. in our office we have views in each others models for this use, but you can use any view that display the way you want.
you can still edit the model categories and everything else as needed
