linked floor Plans

Hi,

Sorry, new to this game in setting up a new project. I have an architectural model which shows their floor plans etc yet when this model gets linked into my new template model to start the project from scratch I have no floor plans in the browser from the architect. Am I doing something wrong or so you have to replicate the floors using copy and monitor of the levels?

The linking process only brings in the 3D/Model elements of the linked file. The link does not include the Levels, or floor plans. Those floor plans must be created based on your usage (plumbing, fire pro, mechanical, electrical...). 

Having a standard template setup file complete with View Templates to make these views is beneficial to Revit success.  Check out some of these resources about View Templates, this function is easy to transfer between projects. So whatever you create on this project can be inserted into a template file that you/your company might want to start.
