Lighting Analysis formula to Calculate Difference Between Required LTG & AVG.

I am new to Revit MEP & I created Space Lighting Analysis Schedule.

I want the last field to calculate the difference between the Required Lighting Levels & the Actual levels in the model.

I also want the cell to turn Red if the lighting levels fall below 5% of the required Lighting level.

I'm learning using my Mastering Revit MEP 2013 training Manual. I have been able to duplicate the Lesson on creating the Lighting Analysis Schedule except for the last field. The manual doesn't tell you have to format the formula to achieve the difference.

Can anyone tell me how to achieve this and how to format the formula?

I'm trying to develop Revit contect, families, templates for my employer to make the transition from AutoCAD to Revit MEP.

Please see attached screenshots of my schedule.

All help is appreciated!

Hello @Anonymous,

I think you want something like this.

P1.png

Add a calculated parameter "Test" of Type "Number" to your Schedule.

put in the formula: (required lx - Average Estimated Illumination) / required lx

Use Percentage for Formatting:

Then select the Test parameter and Add a conditional format.

rklempau,

Thanks soo much for your reply to my post! That is Exactly what I am trying to accomplish! However, I am running Revit 2017 & can't open your sample project. Is there a way you could open it in a lower version & save it so I can open your sample project as a "Go-Bye"? Also for some reason, my sample project is only reporting 3 room spaces in my schedule. Why is that (See attached)?

Sincerely,
