Inserted Spaces Not Detecting Linked Model Room Data

I realize this is a topic that has been addressed before here, and I have tried some of the solutions offered.  I have made sure that the phase names as well as the level names match between my model and the Architect's linked model and I have made sure that the height of the rooms in the Architect's model are high enough.

However, there are still some rooms that I cannot get to give up their data (room name, room number, room area) to the spaces I insert in my model.  Some of them will but others won't and I can't see any difference between the two.

If anyone has any possible solutions besides those I mentioned above, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi @clippincott-CL

Hope you're doing well.

Regarding the issue, have you tried activate the Room Bounding? You must activate the Room Bounding type property on the linked model itself to be able to place spaces in a linked model (this setting is deactivated by default), try doing this:

1. Select the link model, then from the Properties - > select Edit Type

2. From the Type Properties dialog - > Constraints - > check the box for Room Bounding

3. Click OK.

Try placing Space again.

Hope it helps.

Check the workset(s) the rooms/spaces are created on.  I've never had that be the issue with spaces, but it is often a problem with other model elements/VG settings.

Thanks for your reply, Richard.  Actually, that was one of the solutions I had already read about and had tried, I forgot to include it in my original post.  It didn't seem to make any difference.  But thanks for the advice anyway!

Thank you also for your reply, bsammis, but I don't have worksets enabled in either the Architect's model or mine.
