how to edit xml file?

to size ducts to the correct numbers eg.(480x480 which means 500x500) i think we have to edit the xml file ! So how we can manage to do it ?

I might be misinterpreting the question, but to edit an xml file just open it in notepad, make your changes and then save it. Or you can open the xml file with the default program and click on VIEW > SOURCE to bring up the code in editable text format.

thank you very much but still i have the same problem i did not get real sizes for ducts, what i mean is that the REVIT give me sizes like 330x330, i want to make it gives me size 350x350

You can type whatever Duct size you want directly in the sizing fields in the Options bar, no need to modify the XML file here. See the attached image.
